Eric O. Smith is the founder and visionary of TRP, Global Inc. His most recent role was Area Manager and Senior Vice President for SunTrust Bank. He had the responsibility for driving top performance levels within his 23 branch market. Prior to joining SunTrust Eric was a Consumer Market Manager and Vice President at Bank of America. During his 15 year tenure, he held a number of leadership roles to include financial analyst, banking center manager, and change consultant. Prior to his banking career, Eric was a middle school language arts educator.
Eric has a reputation for performance excellence with an effective balance of risk mitigation, high levels of client service, and sales process discipline. He is a graduate from the University of North Carolina Charlotte where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science. He earned his Master of Arts degree in Theology and Christian Studies from Lipscomb University Hazelip School of Theology.
Eric is currently a PhD student and Southern Regional Education Board Fellow at James Madison University in the School of Strategic Leadership with a concentration in Nonprofit Leadership. He is a proud alum of INROAD/Charlotte Inc., a recent inductee of the National Honor Society, and a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He has been an active member of the Black Professional Group and Cross Line Mentoring Program. In addition to enjoying time with family and friends, he appreciates reading a good book.
